In addition to prims having link numbers, avatars seated upon the object do as well. To access a specific prim in the object, the prims link number must be known. So, if you have a 5 prim lamp, put this in the 'bulb' prim and make that prim the root. Each prim that makes up an object has an address, a link number. The light will always be emitted by the prim the script is in. You can also change the channels and message in the script.
